How to get around Birmingham airport
Birmingham International Airport is one of the UK's largest and busiest airports. Getting around the airport can be confusing, with many amenities, check-in and security areas located around the main terminal's two floors. The airport has several on-site travel options, including the air rail link, all of which can be easily viewed and selected by using the Birmingham Airport guide PDF.

Air rail link
Linking the National Exhibition Centre (N.E.C.)
Birmingham's massive business, conference and exhibition premises, the N.E.C., are linked directly to the airport through the Birmingham International Airport air rail link. The air rail link's origination point is also close to Birmingham's LG Arena.
Birmingham International rail station
Birmingham Airport's air rail monorail link runs between Birmingham International railway station and the airport's two main terminal buildings.
Travel on the air rail link is complimentary and allows hundreds of passengers to board individual monorail cars and get dropped off at their departure gate.
Journeys on the air rail link depart every two minutes with journey times taking, on average, less than two minutes (Birmingham-airport-guide.co.uk).
Car park shuttle service
Complimentary shuttle bus
Birmingham International Airport operates a complimentary shuttle bus service that links the two terminal buildings to a pair of long term car parks.
Transfer times range between five and ten minutes for passengers.
Shuttle buses operate during the main operating hours of the airport, so even if you are travelling on the day's first or last flight, you will be able to travel between the car park and the terminal building free of charge.
Parking within walking distance
The airport's short term and medium stay car parks are both located within a two minute walk of both of the airport's terminal buildings. Although, shuttle buses are available in these car parks for those with excessive amounts of luggage, it is faster to walk for those people who are travelling with light luggage.
