Getting there
How to get there?
Denver International Airport Denver International Airport offers flights from nearly every major airport in North America making it, by land-size, the largest international airport in the United States and the third-largest in the world.
In fact, the airport is so big that it is renowned for its complicated network of concourses and walkways.
Flights
It is the only international airport in Colorado, so this is likely to be the first port of call for Colorado vacations, especially from abroad. For Britons, there are return flights available from Heathrow, London. Visitors from other countries may, however, need to transfer at Heathrow or another North American airport.
Colorado as a tourist attraction
Denver
The airport offers a special bus service which travels through Central Denver and most of the surrounding sprawl. While Denver, the capital of Colorado, is a perfectly nice, friendly city with many hotels, sports teams, nice parks and an art and cultural scene, it is generally regarded as more of a stopping point for more impressive tourist attractions in Colorado.
Transportation
From Denver International, the holidaymaker can easily travel to other transport hubs such as Denver Union Station. Alternatively, they may want to get a connecting to flight to somewhere else in Colorado. For example, many of the top USA ski resorts are generally found to the West of the Colorado state.
Transportation to Aspen
If you want to experience one of the most popular sky resorts, you may consider a vacation to the world-renowned Aspen. This place encompasses most of the best Colorado ski deals.
This resort can be easily reached by bus service. However, the holidaymakers’ best bet is probably to rent a car or to fly to the small, but very scenic Sardy field airport.
Car rental is yet another good option because it allows much flexibility to the tourists. You may therefore explore this large state and partake in other attractions such as rafting and camping.
