Seattle Weekly is a freely distributed weekly newspaper in Seattle, Washington, United States. It was founded by Darrell Oldham and David Brewster. Today

Today, the printed version relies heavily on publishing an extensive range of 'best of' guides, entertainment news as well as traditional local news stories. Online offers Its online portal offers selectable tags for key categories such as news, music, calendar, restaurants, arts, movies and adverts. There are also sub-headings that lead to columnists, bar and club listings, Seattle events and three blogs. A general interest news blog called The Daily Weekly leads to a line up that includes Reverb, a music blog and Voracious, which is more of a dining guide. The Seattle newspaper isn't all about news, blogs and guides though, it also has a fair dose of satirical humour, probably best encapsulated in the beloved advice column Ask an Uptight Seattleite. Other facilities
Newsletters, tickets and coupons are also available through the newspaper's website as is the mobile facility for readers who want their news to go. The healthy competition between Seattle Weekly and The Stranger should ensure that local residents will continue to enjoy the same level of journalism that is the envy of many throughout the country.
