About YWAM England
In the Bible, Matthew 28 talks about making disciples of all nations and peoples and YWAM seeks to put this command of Jesus into practice. YWAM England train and send out missionaries from the UK who spread the love of Jesus to those who do not yet know Him. The international, interdenominational Christian organisation YWAM is now present in over 160 nations, and as such, it is one of the largest missionary organisations in the world. YWAM England YWAM England has a number of training centres located throughout the country, providing students and young people with discipleship training and further specialist training to equip them for life. Training is offered to those intending to hit the mission field with YWAM, with another missionary organisation (such as mercy ministries) or to those who intend to return to the work place. You can take part in short-term work and longer outreach projects. Young Christians wishing to take a gap year between school and university or between university and work, may benefit from taking part in YWAM training and in youth missions.
YWAM training and gap year courses
If you want to know God more, have a deeper relationship with Jesus and give some focused-time to God. You must also hear from God, make Him known, demonstrate the love of Jesus to the broken, spend time working for Jesus overseas and lay foundations for your future. Therefore, it is well worth considering getting involved in YWAM training. Training courses YWAM discipleship training courses (DTS) and gap year programmes are available in many different locations, with 6-month, 10-month and 12-month (year for God) courses available. The 6-month DTS includes a 12-week study phase followed by 8-12 weeks outreach while the 10-month course involves a 12-week study and team outreach work. The 12-month DTS offers the opportunity to take part in extended overseas outreach.
