Actress Abigail Breslin may only be fifteen years old, but she is has the resumé of a seasoned professional. Her films include 'Signs' and 'Little Miss Sunshine' and Breslin has been nominated many times for awards, including the Oscar for best supporting actress.

Beginnings
Abigail Breslin was born in New York on 14 April 1996. Acting runs in the Breslin family. Her two older brothers Ryan and Spencer also work as actors.
Career
Breslin started acting at the age of three, when she got a part in a Toys 'R' Us commercial. Her big break came in 2002 when the young girl landed the part of Bo in science fiction thriller 'Signs' opposite Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix. Breslin captivated audiences as the eccentric Bo and earned many positive reviews for her performance.
In 2006 Breslin played the part of Olive in 'Little Miss Sunshine'. The movie about a dysfunctional family on a road trip was an enormous hit with the critics and at the box office. Since then she has played parts in 'Definitely Maybe' opposite Ryan Reynolds, 'No Reservations' opposite Catherine Zeta Jones, 'My Sister's Keeper' opposite Cameron Diaz and 'Zombieland'.
She has also appeared in television episodes of 'Law and Order: Special Victim's Unit' and 'Ghost whisperer'. Breslin is known for her intensity on the screen, and her great professionalism among her acting peers.
In 2010 Breslin made her Broadway theater debut, playing the part of Helen Keller in 'The Miracle Worker'. This was not a great success and the show closed after a short run of two months. Critics however praised Breslin's performance. Breslin returned to acting on the screen.
In 2011 'Rango' was released in which Breslin provides the voice of Priscilla.
Achievements
Breslin received an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress for her part in 'Little Miss Sunshine', making her one of the youngest persons in history to receive the honour. Breslin has also nominated for a BAFTA Award, MTV Movie Award, Teen Choice Award, and Online Film Critics Award. Breslin won a
SAG Award for 'Little Miss Sunshine' and the Young Artist award twice, once for 'Little Miss Sunshine' and another for 'My Sister's Keeper'.
