All you have to do to get started is to create a free account with the site. Click on the "Get Started" button on the sites homepage and enter in the correct information for all of the fields. Yola also allows you to come up with a domain name - you can choose whatever name you want as long as it is not already being used.

Once you have an account you can begin adding pages, links, pictures and information to your website. Be sure to create a homepage that customers or viewers are automatically directed to once they first enter your website. Once you make your own homepage, you can move from there and add an "About me" section and "Contact" information. If you are planning on selling things on your site, then it will be good to provide pictures and information on that merchandise.

Make your site live and official

Once you are sure that you have everything on the site that you want viewers to see you can "Publish" your site to the web. This will allow your site to be official and if people type your domain name into the URL box, then it will direct them to your site. Of course, this does not mean that it is permanent - if information on the site becomes outdated or if a link stops working, you can always go back and fix it. All you have to do is make the changes to the things that you want to fix and click on the green button that says "Publish to the web" to make these changes visible to anyone who may be viewing your site.
