Skin
When you apply skin make-up start with a concealer. Smear this over the skin, under your eyes and upon spots or red blotches. Follow this by applying foundation to your face. Make sure the foundation matches your skin tone. The best way of applying it is by using a wet sponge. A great make-up tip is to apply a little bit of day cream over your foundation, achieving a natural finish. Use a bronzer upon your T-section and cheekbones. If you want, you can finish-off with a touch of rouge. Just make sure the colours you use are natural. Once you have finished your skin makeup application, you can move onto your eyes.
Eye make-up
Day Make up For you day eye make-up, use a brown eye-liner or eye pencil. Draw a fine line onto the lid as close to your eyelashes as possible. Next use cream and brown eye shadow. Use the light colour in the inside corner of your eye, and slowly have it blend it into the brown, out towards the outer eye corner. Finish with a coat of brown mascara. Evening make-up Your evening make-up should stand out more. Use a black eye pencil and eye liner. Use brighter eye shadow colours like dark green and purple. For smoky eyes, start with white eyeshadow in your inner corner and slowly blend it into the black out towards the outer corner. Also apply a tiny bit of white eye shadow under your brows. Finish with multiple layers of black mascara.
Lips
Draw a line along the natural line of your mouth with lip pencil. Use the same colour lipstick to colour your lips. For extra dramatic effect, use lip gloss.
Finishing touches
Eyebrows For an evening out, you might want to make your eyebrows stand out a little more. If so, use dark powder to accentuate them. Most people make the mistake of using a pencil, which can end-up looking unnatural. Too much When you have applied all your make up, make sure one of your features pop out. Put the focus either on your eyes or your lips. Both can look a bit overdone.
