A person trying to pursue this occupation must have a four-year degree from an accredited college or university, and the degree can be in any field. However, a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice is preferred because it gives a person a good understanding of law.
Background requirements
To become a secret service agent, a person must be at least 21 years old, but not older than 37 years old. They must have at least three years of relevant work experience in law enforcement or criminal investigation, and they must have perfect vision and perfect health.
