MSN (Microsoft Service Network) Messenger is an extremely popular instant messaging service from media giant Microsoft. Windows Essentials The other type of messenger is a part of Windows Essentials, and allows you to send instant messages from a program installed on your PC. It is officially created and endorsed by Microsoft, and is virus-free. It has many great features, like giving you an on-screen alert each time a friend messages you, and also has a very user-friendly GUI (Graphical User Interface). Microsoft.com You can download this at Microsoft.com. Just go there and search for "MSN Instant Messenger". This will bring you to the most updated download page. You will most likely need to download Windows Essentials, and then just select MSN Messenger to install, although all of Windows Essential are free and trusted software - seeing as it is coming from Microsoft.
