Lord of the Rings is one of the most popular trilogies of all time. The trilogy has been available on DVD for a while now and as a result, the prices on the DVDs have dropped. Combine with this the fact that people are looking to sell their DVDs second-hand and you can pick up cheap Lord of the Rings DVDs from a number of places. Amazon

Amazon is a great place to look for Lord of the Rings DVDs whether it be from the entire box set or simply the individual DVDs. Amazon sells the DVDs brand new for fairly reasonable prices but the best way to go is to probably look for the used section. Here, independent sellers sell their DVDs for second-hand prices and you can find some of them extremely cheaply. It should probably be noted here that if you want to find the Lord of the Rings films really cheap, look it up on VHS as Amazon have them for sale for under £1 (July 2011).

Ebay

Ebay is a good place for buying Lord of the Rings DVDs second-hand. Ebay is a bidding website in which buyers bid for items. This means that if nobody bids against you, then you could end up landing yourself a bargain. Some sellers also sell DVDs for 'buy it now' prices which means that you might not even have to bid against anybody though you will probably have to pay a little bit more.

HMV

Due to the fact that the first Lord of the Rings is a decade old now, even the High Street shops are selling the DVDs relatively cheap now. HMV is a great place to pick up the Lord of the Rings movies brand new for cheap prices. The box sets still set you back a bit but the films can be bought on their own for only a few pounds. Look out for other High Street shops for these bargains as well as supermarkets.

Car boot sales

It may not be the best place to go shopping but car boot sales sell items off very cheaply. Obviously, there is no guarantee that you will find what you are looking for but you could find a Lord of the Rings DVD for just a couple of pounds if you're lucky.
