John Morrison: biography
John Randall Hennigan, better known by his ring name John Morrison, is an American professional wrestler currently signed to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on its RAW brand.

Beginnings
Hennigan was born on October 3rd 1979 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Before entering the domain of wrestling, he attended the University of California at Davis studying film and geology, but ended up deciding that he did not want to pursue either paths.
Hennigan started professional wrestling training at the Supreme Pro Wrestling school in Sacramento, California then participated in the WWE reality show "Tough Enough" in 2002 on its third season, after failing the audition of the second season. In Tough Enough, John Hennigan finished the show as the winner and was guaranteed a WWE contract. After winning, he was sent to WWE's developmental territory, Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) to pursue his training and to get ready to debut on the real show.
Career
On March 1st, 2004 Hennigan debuted on the Raw brand of the WWE. He used the ring name "Johnny Nitro" and started as the assistant and apprentice of RAW's general manager Eric Bischoff. But three months later, he was sent back to OVW where he stayed training until April 2005 when he was brought back to the main WWE roster, this time on its SmackDown brand.
On SmackDown, Hennigan formed a stable called "MNM" including himself, Melina and Joey Mercury. He spent two successful years on that brand before getting drafted to the ECW brand on June 19, 2007 where he changed his ring name to the current "John Morrison" and teamed up with fellow wrestler The Miz.
Hennigan also spent two years on ECW before going back to SmackDown on April 15, 2009 separating from The Miz and going back to singles' circuit where he very successful was to get drafted back to RAW on April 26, 2010.
Achievements
Hennigan won many championships throughout his career. In 2005, he won his first WWE Tag Team Championship teaming with Joey Mercury. Hennigan also won the WWE Intercontinental Championship after defeating Carlito and Shelton Benjamin in a triple threat match. In 2007, he won his first ECW World Championship by defeating CM Punk. After teaming up with The Miz, Hennigan won another Tag Team Championship and a Slammy Award for Tag Team of the year in 2008.
