Introduction Rutgers University Press is a non-profit academic publishing house which operates from Piscataway, New Jersey, under the Rutgers University. It was founded in 1936 and has enjoyed a constant growth since that time.
Original directors The press originally conducted its affairs under the directorships of Earl Schenck Miers and former New York trade publisher William Sloane. Mission statement According to the website, the Rutgers philosophy is related to how the press, "has been dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge to scholars, students, and the general reading public" since its establishment in 1936.
