How to make BBQ sauce

Ingredients
2 cups apple cider vinegar
3/4 cups water (hot, but not boiling)
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper (optional)
Method
- Combine hot water and dark brown sugar.
- Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Pour brown sugar and water mixture into medium sauce pan.
- Add all other ingredients to sauce pan and stir.
- Turn heat to medium/low until warm.
- Add to meat.
Note: This BBQ sauce recipe is perfect for pulled pork sandwiches.
A BBQ rub recipe
This is an easy BBQ rub recipe that is great for ribs. Adjust the amounts for added heat or sweetness.
Ingredients
1 cup dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon ground cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon dry oregano
dash of liquid smoke
Method
Combine all ingredients and rub onto meat.
Note
One to two tablespoon of peanut butter can be added to the rub for a more distinct flavour.
