How to get rid of fat
Do you want to get rid of fat and achieve the body of your dreams? The truth is that fat loss can be easy if you know what you are doing. Read the following tips on how to lose fat quickly and easily.
Create a calorie deficit
The only way to lose fat is to start consuming fewer calories than you burn. Your body won’t lose fat, unless it has to. However, be careful not to overdo it. Severe calorie restriction can damage your health. Our bodies need a specific amount of calories and nutrients in order to produce hormones and to maintain the immune system.
Forget about spot reduction
Aim to reduce your overall body fat and don’t try to lose fat from particular body areas. This will happen naturally, and there is nothing that you can lose to target for example only stomach fat. Even if you follow an abdominal training programme, you won’t necessarily lose tummy fat. Abs training can strengthen your abdominal muscles, but there is no way to lose your stomach fat without also losing fat from your entire body.
Start lifting weights
Weight lifting can help you to preserve muscle mass and to maximise fat loss. In a recent study, 14 women were put on an 800-calorie, high protein diet. Half of them lifted weights for 30-40 minutes for three days per week, and the rest of them followed the same diet, but did not lift weights. Results Both groups lost 33 pounds, but the women who weight lifted lost a higher percentage of fat and increased their muscle mass by six percent. On the contrary, the group that did not lift weights lost muscle mass along with fat.
Drink green tea
There is evidence that the compound EGCG found in green tea can promote weight loss. One study found that those who performed moderate intensity exercise for three hours per week and drank green tea at the same time, lost slightly more weight than people who exercised without drinking green tea. Advice Don’t expect any miracles though, green tea will only give you a small metabolic boost. To reap the benefits of green tea, you will need to get a big dose of EGCG, which is found in tea bags or loose tea leaves. Forget about the expensive green tea extracts or bottled green tea. No matter what the companies tell you, these products contain the lowest amounts of EGCG, and there is absolutely no reason to waste your money.
