Simple recipes for healthy dinners

Frittata
Frittata is a fried omelet that is simple to make. Best yet, it is a dish to which you can add practically anything that you like. You will need an oven-proof pan for this recipe. A cast iron skillet works well. - Melt butter or add olive oil to a pan. - Add chopped onions, garlic to the butter and cook until translucent. - Whisk together six eggs with 1/2 cup (more or less) of milk. - Grate cheese of your choice. - Add the eggs to the pan with the butter, onion and garlic. - Stir to combine the ingredients. - When the eggs begin to cook, cover the eggs with the grated cheese and put the pan in the oven on broil. - Cook for three minutes. - Remove the pan from the oven and let stand until cool enough to eat. - For alternative ingredients, you can use powdered garlic and onion instead of chopped onions and garlic. Moreover, chives or any herbs of your choice, chopped carrots, peppers, celery, spinach and beans will work well. You can even add frozen peas on the eggs. They will defrost quickly.
Pizza
Cook this delicious dish yourself. Turn the meal into a pizza-making party and have fun with your whole family. - Mix together 3 1/2 cup of flour with 1/2 cup of warm water, a tablespoon each of olive oil and yeast and a pinch of salt to form a dough. Whether you wish to proof the yeast, the decision is up to you. - Sprinkle flour on the counter. - Put the dough on the counter and work it with your hands until it feels soft and resilient to your touch. - Put the dough in a bowl with a little olive oil and let it rise for up to two hours until it's doubled in size. - Divide the dough into three balls. - Roll out one ball with a rolling pin until flat. - Transfer it onto a pizza pan, tin foil laid together and spray with cooking oil, a pizza stone or a greased cookie sheet. - The toppings can be a home-made sauce or pasta sauce, grated cheese, chopped onions, garlic, peppers, cooked hamburger, tomato slices, spinach, sliced mushrooms and more. - Cook for up to 30 minutes in a 500 degrees oven.
