Born on the 5th February 1950, Natalie Marie Cole is a multiple Grammy award winning singer-songwriter. As the daughter of the idolised Nat King Cole, it seemed natural that she was destined for musical greatness. In fact, at the age of six, she contributed to her father's Christmas album, which was followed by her performing debut five years later. Albums and awards With albums such as Unforgettable....With Love, Take A Look and Stardust to her name, Natalie has continued a legacy of legendary artists that include Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and her father. To date, Cole has been awarded nine Grammy Awards in addition to American Music and NCAAP Image Awards.

Natalie Cole's "This Will Be" was released on 13th July 1975 on the Capitol label. Written and composed by Marvin Yancy and Chuck Jackson, the song was Cole's debut record and one that shot her to instant fame. This will be peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent two weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot Soul Singles chart. It also helped Cole to pick up the Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. This was seen as a ground-breaking moment in the genre as the category had for many years been dominated by Aretha Franklin. Love song
