Born on the 5th February 1950, Natalie Marie Cole is a multiple Grammy award winning singer-songwriter. As the daughter of the idolised Nat King Cole, it seemed natural that she was destined for musical greatness. Written and composed by Marvin Yancy and Chuck Jackson, the song was Cole's debut record and one that shot her to instant fame. It also helped Cole to pick up the Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
