ConAgra Foods Inc. is a food company that prides itself on making various brands of food for a great value. In 1919, Conagra was originally named 'Nebraska Consolidated Mills', and it wasn't until the 1970s that it changed its name to ConAgra Inc. and in 2000, it became known as ConAgra Foods Inc. One of the most important things associated with ConAgra Foods is their strive to end child hunger. With their 'ConAgra Foods Child Hunger Ends Here' programme, over 250 million pounds of food has been distributed, thus far to help with child hunger. Helping households around the world, ConAgra Foods offers a new website called 'Ready Set Eat'. Geared towards helping families to make meals in under 30 minutes and incorporate foods that they already have in their cabinets at home.

In the media In August 2011, ConAgra Foods placed a bid to buy Ralcorp Holdings, another food company. Unfortunately for ConAgra, all of the bids have been turned down by Ralcorp. With an attempt to stay afloat, Ralcorp has now decided to spin off one of its food units. Whether or not ConAgra will eventually take over Ralcorp is yet to be seen.
